                               Thiruvallur – 8 Temples went by Bike on 14/04/2012

Started Around 5.00 am and Returned to Vellore back Around 7.30 pm with my bike starting KM reading was 60411 and ending at 60767 with 356 Kilometers to travel 8 Sivan Temples in this Area.

                                Kanchipuram – 10 Temples went by Bike on 21/07/2012

Started Around 4.15 am and Returned to Vellore back Around 3.15 pm with my bike starting KM reading was 63080 and ending at 63342 with 262 Kilometers to travel 9+1 Sivan Temples in this Area.

                                Chennai – 6 Temples Went by Bike on 04/08/2012

Started Around 4.00 am and Returned to Vellore back Around 4.30 pm with my bike starting KM reading was 63592 and ending at 63930 with 338 Kilometers to travel 5+1 Sivan Temples in this Area.

                                Chennai other side till Achchirupakkam – 4 Temples on 15/08/2012

For the First Temple called Tirukkachoor, from Chengalpattu Bus No.82 C goes to this Temple.
For the Second Temple called Tiruvidiachuram From Chengalpattu Bus No.50 goes to this Temple.
Rest of the Two Temples there are frequent bus to Tirukkazhukundram and Achchirupakkam.

                                Tindivanam and Villupuram – 5 Temples on 18/08/2012

I really had very hard time to see these 5 Temples but MY SHIVAN made it possible for me.

                                Panrutti & Pondy – 3 Temples on 25/08/2012

From Panrutti First Temple called Tiruvathigai, from Panrutti Bus No.16 goes to this Temple.
From Panrutti Second Temple called Tiruthuraiyur, From Panrutti Bus No.12 and 19 goes to this Temple.
For Pondy Thiruvaindhar (Vadagoor) from pondy bus stand towards Villupuram all buses goes to this Temple.

                                Thirukkoviloor – 4 Temples on 08/09/2012

From Thirukkoviloor there are Frequent Buses to these Temples.

                                Ulundurpet – 3 Temples on 08/09/2012

For the first Temple called Tirunaavalur from Arasur towards Ulundurpet get down at kedellam and get the bus towards Panrutti for getting down at Tirunaavalur.

For the second Temple called Thirunevlvennai, Neyvannai Thiru Gnanasambanthar Temple from Ulundurpet Bus stand Bus No.4, 7, 8 goes directly to this temple.

For the third Temple called Thirumundeecharam you get buses from Ulundurpet Bus stand.

                               Viruthachalam – 4 Temples on 29/09/2012

For the first Temple at Thirumudhukundram it is at about 2 Kilometer from the Bust Stand.

For the second Temple at Erukkathampuliyur (Now Known as Rajendrapattinam) all the Buses From Viruthachalam towards Srimushnam stops at this place.              

For the third Temple at Pennadam Bus No.15 from Viruthachalam Bus Stand goes to this Temple.

For the fourth Temple at Thirunelvayil Arathurai the same Bus No.15  from Viruthachalam Bus Stand goes to this Temple.
(First see this temple and go to Pennadam as this temple is little far away as compare to above Temples.)



                                 Cuddalore – 4 Temples on 02/10/2012

For these below four temples please see in the following order so that you can save time and you can make sure that the temple will be opened.

For the first Temple at Thiruthinainagar the only bus which goes to this temple is Bus No.34 from Cuddalore Bus Stand.

For the second Temple at Thiruchopuram Bus No.22, 32, 40 from Cuddalore Bus Stand goes to this Temple.

For the third Temple at Thirumaanikkuzhi Bus No. 16 till the main road, and Bus No.14 which stops before the temple itself.

For the fourth Temple at Thirupadhiripuliyur which is back side of the Cuddalore Bus Stand which is walk able distance.


                                     Kattumannarkoil – 5 Temples on 21/12/2012

For these below 5 temples please see in the following order because from Chidambaram you have buses to see the temples until you reach Kattumannarkoil

For the first temple at Thiru Thirunaaraiyur you have bus from Chidambaram and Bus No. 23 goes till the main road and you have to walk for 1 kilometer to reach the temple.

For the second temple at Thiru Kaanattumullur you have to reach Kattumannarkoil, and from the same bus stand come out you have a MINI BUS namely Kamalam which goes to Thirukaanattumullur.

For the third temple at Thirukkadamboor from Kattumannarkoil bus stand Bus No.41 goes to this temple and for fourth temple come back to main road go a place called MUTTAM Kotu Road to reach
Thiru Omampuliyur which is about 2 kilometer.

For the fourth temple at Thiru Omampuliyur from Kattumannarkoil bus stand Bus No.41 goes to this temple as this bus runs as a timely trip to these two places.

For the fifth temple at Thiru Koodalaiyatroor from Chidambaram Bus No.25, 46, 19 goes to this temple.



                                Chidambaram – 4 Temples on 22/12/2012

For the first temple Nataraja it is just walk able distance from the Chidambaram bus stand.

For the second temple Thirunelvayal from Chidambaram Bus stand Bus No.16 goes to this temple.

For the third temple Thirukkazhippalai temple is some half a kilometer from Thirunelvayal temple.

For the fourth temple Thiruvetkalam temple is inside Annamalai university.




                               Karur – Kulithalai – 3 Temples on 21/03/2013


For the first temple Kadambanthurai, Kulithalai it is walk able distance about 1 kilometer from Kulithalai Bus stand, or before going to Kulithalai bus stand Nalu Road (Round tana) is less than a kilometer.

For the second temple Thiruvatpokki, Rathinagiri (This temple is also called as Iyer Malai Locally) from kulithalai towards manaparai get the local town bus which goes to this temple. To reach this hill temple you have to climb 850 to 900 steps. This temples opens at around 10.45 am to 11.00 am in week days (because I went on Thursday).

For the third temple Thiru Eengoyimalai, Thiruvinganadhamalai I went from the Nalu Road (Round Tana) before entering Kulithalai, first cross the musuri long bridge, and get down at the Kuttu Road, and from there buses from there get another bus which goes to Thiru Eengoyimalai. From the kuttu Road of this village you can see this hill top temple in which you have to climb about 300 steps.
 

                                Karur – 2 Temples on 21/03/2013 & 22/03/2013

For the first temple in Karuvur, Pasupathi Nathar Temple is a walk able distance which is in the road right opposite for the Karur bus stand which leads to this Temple.

For the second temple Venjamakoodal, from Karur bus stand you get direct from which starts at 8.30 am which goes to this Temple.


                                Erode – 3 Temples on 22/03/2013

For the first temple in Bhavani, you have plenty of buses to Bhavani. From Erode to Bhavani is about
15 Kilometers.

For the second temple in Kodumudi, the buses from erode to karur goes to this temple. From Erode to Kodumudi is about 40 Kilometers.

For the third temple in Tiruchengode, you have plenty of buses from Erode. From Erode this temple is about 18 Kilometers. This is a hill top temple in you have even buses to reach the hill top.


                                Avinasi – 2 Temples on 23/03/2013

For the first temple in Avinasi the temple Avinasiappar is in the Located in the main town.

For the second temple in thirumuruganpoondi, from Avinasi old bus stand it is about 5 kilometers.




                              Tirunelveli – 2 Temples on 19/05/2013 & 20/05/2013

For Nellaiappar Temple which is Located in the main town.

For Kutralam Temple I went from Tirunelveli.


                                Trichy – 14 Temples on 21/05/2013, 22/05/2013 and 23/05/2013

Temples which I saw was as follows – Tiruchiramalai, Mukkeecharam (Urayur),
Thirukkarkudi (Uyyakondan Tirumalai), Thiruparaithurai, Tiruvanaikkaval, Tiruppalthurai, Thirunedungulam, Thiru Erumbiyur, Tirumanthurai, Thirumazhappadi, Thirupazhuvur, Thiruppaingneeli,
Thiruppasila chiramam (Thiruvasi) and Thiru Anbil Alanthurai – Total of 14 Temples
which I covered in 2 ½ days in which I took a local cab to see all the above Temples.


                                Madurai – 11 + 1 Temples on 25/05/2013 and 26/05/2013

Temples which I saw was as follows – Thiru Alavai, Thiru aappanoor, Thirupparamkunramkunram,
Thiruvedagam, Thiru Kodunkundram (Piraanmalai), Thirupuvanam, Thiru vadanai, Thiruchuzhail,
Thirukkanapper (Kalayar Koil), Thiruputhur (Tiruttalinathar), Thiruppunavayil,
Rameshwaram (already seen).

  1. I wanted to know about thetemple near elavarasan kottai. the temples name is Periyanayaki udanurai arthanaatheeswarar temple. This temple is nearly 2000 years old, I think.
    I also wanted to know about an old temple near Chidambaram. the name of the temple is periyanaki udanurai pavadai rayan temple at maduranthaga nallur. this temple is situated on the route from Chidambaram to maduranthaga nallur. If u know about these two temple Please give details to me. My email id is rajendranprabhu@gmail.com.
