Was to Kanchipuram on 04/02/2012, 12/02/2012, 19/02/2012 to this divya desam, why because there are 14 + 1 Temples, where except VARADARAJA PERUMAL TEMPLE I went by Share Auto and for Thiruputzhi I went by Bus, and other temples by walk which was very see for me.                                                                                 Third set of Temples – 6
                                                                           Trichy Divya Desam Details

Vellore to Cuddalore – 177 Kilometers
Vellore to Chidambaram – 218 Kilometers
Cuddalore to Chidambaram – 44 Kilometers
Vellore to Sirkazhi – 238 Kilometers
Chidambaram to Sirkazhi – 21 Kilometers
Sirkazhi to Mayiladuturai – 21 Kilometers
Mayiladuturai to Kumbakonam – 34 Kilometers
Kumbakonam to Tanjore – 33 Kilometers
Tanjore to Trichy – 47 Kilometers

This above is for a roughly idea to make yourself for areas where you are going to go.

I started from Vellore on Friday 24/02/2012 at 8.05PM from Vellore New Bus Stand,
Went to get the bus to Trichy, from where I want to go to Pudukkottai, where this will be my centre place to visit Tirumayam which is 20 Kilometer from Pudukkottai, and Tirukostiyur say approx some 10 to 15 Kilometers from Tirupattur.

But I got a direct bus to Pudukkottai instated of Trichy, the bus fare Rs.204.00 which started at 8.05pm and reached at pudukkottai at 3.50am on 25/02/2012. There I took a lodge just opposite to the bus stand to bath and keep my luggage, Hotel AKGN Phone No.9443807132 and  they charged me Rs.400.00. From there I took a bus to Tirupattur around 4.50am reached Tirupattur around 50 Kilometers reached at Tirupattur around 6.10am from Tirupattur I took another local bus to Tirukostiyur which is 14 Kilometers from Tirupattur, and reached Tirukostiyur at 6.40am, but the Temple was opened at 7.30am and I had a very excellent dharasan, and back from here I took a bus which came from sivagangai to trichy and I got down at Tirumayam, in which there are two temples on of SIVAN and other of VISHNU both the temples a must see place ATLEST once in LIFE TIME, again I had a very excellent dharasan. From Tirumayam I came back to Pudukkottai vacated my room and started back to Trichy.

These above two divya desam comes under Madurai, as these Tirukostiyur and Tirumayam are near to trichy than Madurai.

Reached Trichy at around 12.45pm on 25/02/2012 at the Central Bus Stand, from here I went to Chattram Bus Stand where this is the Central place for local buses. I was searching from Room for more than one hour, and finally I got a small box room, which was ok because I at least got room. You know the rent I paid was Rs.200. After got settled in Trichy I went for Lunch at Hotel Maays – Geethanjalli Restaurant where the Lunch was good but costly. After Finishing my Lunch I started my Trichy 6 Divya Desam Trip
First I want see the Temples which are long from where I stayed because I want spent more time at SriRangam Temple (it happened as I Wished).

First I went to Thiru Anbil – Sri Vadivazhagiya Nambi Perumal Temple
For this I took a from Chattram Bus Stand, Bus No.93 I think this bus was going to Lalgudi(I do not know) it was about 35 to 40 Kilometers from here, and took around 45 minutes to reach this temple (by asking where to get down, where to get down to guys and college girls who where travelling with me. At last a college girl told me get down the next stop where she got down. Reached around 3.50pm, from bus stop I got down I took the first left to reach the temple, this again I had a very excellent dharasan. From here I asked the Iyer that how to reach to Tirupper Nagar Temple. He Showed me the way in which I will be able to save at least Half Day.

Second I went to Thirupper Nagar – Sri Appakkudathaan Perumal Temple
He asked to cross the Kallani River which was about 3 Kilometer across in which with water at a height of my hip level, then crossed the 2 level of  road crossing and then reached the main road which was coming from Kallani to going to (I do not known) I reached temple at around 5.15pm the Temple was very very great again I had a very excellent dharasan. That Iyer did even care about the guys who where taking the photos of Perumal very busy in getting money in (Dashanni), to be frankly speaking first I do not want to take photo but my mobile did not listen to me and took 2 beautiful photos.
From here started my problem which is I did not get direct bus to Chattram Bus Stand, because of Kallani which buses towards trichy did not cross the Kallani they stopped on the both side of the Kallani, one has go by walk to the other end to get the buses. (If I would been by Car or so, we can cross the Kallani, it is a one way traffic) so it was to late and tried when I reached Chattram Bus Stand at around 7.50pm. I went back to the same hotel Hotel Maays – Geethanjalli Restaurant had my dinner and went back to lodge at 8.50pm.

Third I went to Thirukkarambanoor – Sri Purushothaman Perumal Temple
This is also called as Uttamar Kovil, for this from Chattram Bus Stand I took 36B bus at around 6.05am it is about 12 kilometers from here, and reached at around 7.00am, where the temple was yet to be opened, and the temple was opened at 7.30am the highlight first the cow was brought before the perumal the first pooja was been made to this cow and then only they are starting other poojas and others are allowed into the temple. A must see this procedure which I saw and I had a very excellent dharasan.

Fourth I went to Thirukkozhi – Sri Azhagiya Manavala Perumal Temple
This temple is at Uraiyur, where from Chattram Bus Stand I took bus no.9 at around 8.30am and reached at round 8.40am I saw the dharasan only from outside only, the perumal was excellent (the perumal was in standing position).

Fifth I went to Thiruvellarai – Sri Pundarikashan Perumal Temple
This Temple is about 26 Kilometers towards Thuraiyur, from Chattram Bus Stand I took bus no.27 at around 9.45am this is a huge temple the perumal was excellent and again I saw a excellent Dharasan.

Sixth the No.1 Divya Desaam the Best Thiruvarangam (Sri Rangam) – Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple
For this temple after seeing Thiruvellarai I came to Thiruvanaikavaal, from there I took Bus No.1 to reach Sri Rangam at 11.45am, what a temple, how big, how excellent, how majestic, very super, In this temple when you cross one by one gopuram each has a long area of shops and houses in each. It took nearly 2 hours to see all other temples inside 1000 kal mandapam, chakratha allavar, Lakshmi thaiyar temple, paramapadha vassal, and there were huge crowed in all queue of free dharasan, Rs.50 dharasan there was another queue which I saw was Rs.250 (mainly I spent because I want see perumal with no disturb and freely).

My basic idea is to that if you start early you see more temple in a single day and using the local service of the buses to its best.

Fourth set of Temples – 12+1
                                                                                Sirkazhi 13 Divya Desam

Yes, here comes the bulk of Divya Desam of Perumal Temples
                                Lets start my journey

On 07/03/2012, I with my Wife, we started from Vellore to Sirkazhi from Vellore Main bus stand (new).
We got a bus to sirkazhi at around 8.30pm. We reached Sirkazhi around 4.30 am on 08/03/2012.

We got a very good room at Hotel Sampoorna – near sirkazhi bus stand, Hotel Phone No.04364-273422, 274822, 292144 and the Contact Person – Mr. Manikandan. Already from Internet I checked for local transport to see the temple in Sirkazhi in which I got a Excellent Person Name called Kannan and his mobile no.9942616789,9443749477, and this is same person who was also been referred when I asked the hotel contact person for local transport.

What a excellent and very neat person, in such way he showed the excellent dharsan of these 14 temples.
The high light in approach is that almost all the above temples are been closed in morning after opening for a few Hours say 7.00 am. Due to the above temples in remote villages. When we saw the first temple
8.15 am this auto guy will call the next temple Iyer saying that we will be there in second temple in 20 minutes. That’s how we saw all these 13 divya desam, on 08/03/2012.

In Addition for a guide in Sirkazhi given by Mr.Srivatsan who went on 05/06/2015 give this details to contact of the above Divya Desam Mr. Subramanian and his Mobile No.9159706875. And thanks to Mr.Srivatsan on giving this information for other who want to visit these Divya Desam.

Fifth set of Temples – 7
                                                                                Mayiladuturai 7 Divya Desam

After seeing 13 Divya Desam we went back to the hotel in sirkazi, and started the next day 09/03/2012 by bus to Mayiladuturai where Kannan gave me mobile no. 9360104854 of Raju in Mayiladuturai, before reaching mayavaram I called raju and he was waiting near the call taxi petrol bunk. He took us first three temples Thiruindhaloor, thiruvazhunthoor, thiru Sirupuliyur except the first temple other two temples are far about 15 and 18 kilometers from mayavaram. We paid Raju 800.00. Next three temples are in Nagappattinam, we were referred by Kannan in sirkazhi that Krishnan 9443678062 and his younger brother Raman 9486656052 will take care for Kumbakonam and Thanjavur.
First we will finish Nagappattinam

We took a room in Lakshmi Kalyana Mandapam where we got room because there was no marriage in that mandapam on that day, this is right opposite to the Nagappattinam Bus Stand.

Ok now, only Thiru Naagai is near Nagappattinam bus stand. We went by bus to Thirukkannapuram is about 25 kilometers from Nagappattinam bus stand. And Thirukkannankudi is 15 kilometers other side of Nagappattinam which we went by auto and paid 300.00. The last is Thiru Thalaicchanga Naanmathiyam Perumal Temple which is near to mayavaram that was last temple which saw in sirkazi which near from sirkazi than from mayavaram, kannan took us we saw those 13 temples plus 1 of this mayavaram list.

Sixth set of Temples – 13
Kumbakonam 7 Temples     and       Thanjavur 6 Temples

On 10/03/2012 early morning we vacated the room in Nagappattinam and started moving to Kumbakonam where we contacted Krishnan he said to see 3 temples by bus itself. From Nagappattinam we got a bus to Thiruvarur, and from thiruvarur bus stand to the first temple in Kumbakonam, Thirukkannamangai, after seeing the perumal, again another bus to Thiruccherai perumal Temple, again another bus to Thirunarayoor (Naachchiyaar Koil). All these temples are on the Road in Highway to Kumbakonam. Here after seeing Nambi Perumal in Naachchiyaar koil, came Kishnan’s younger brother raman with an ambasstor car, balance 4 temples plus 6 temples in thanjavur total 10 temples and Swamimalai Murgan temple we went with raman, the same as in Sirkazhi, except Saarangapani and Oppiliappan temple in kumbakonam are in remote villages in around a radius of 200 kilometers, and we paid 2000.00.
Then raman dropped us at Thanjvur main bus stand and got us a bus to vellore at around 9.30 pm and reached vellore on 11/03/2012 at around 6.30 am.

Seventh set of Temples – 8

On 15/03/2012 I started around 7.00 pm from Vellore bus stand and reached Madurai around 4.30 am at maatuthavanne bus stand, from there I went to periyar bus stand and took a room near Amman Temple.
Next day 16/03/2012, had bath and started to Thirupullanni (Ramanathapuram), reached ramand bus stand at around 8.15 am from there got local bus to Thirupullanni which is around 15 kilometers from Ramanathapuram bus stand.
Madurai to Ramanathapuram is around 110 kilometers. After seeing Kalyana Jagannatha Perumal came back to Madurai around 1.30 pm took some rest.

Then started to Thiruthankaal (Sivakasi) from maathuthavanne bus stand around 2.30 pm and reached sivakasi around 4.15 pm (get down before 1 kilometer to Sivakasi, need not go to Sivakasi bus stand) Madurai to Sivakasi is around 85 Kilometers.

Then from Sivakasi I got a bus to Thiruvilliputtur (Srivilliputhoor) which is around 30 Kilometers, reached the Vadabhatra Saayi Perumal around 6.45 pm. From Srivilliputhoor went back to Madurai which is about 70 Kilometers, reach room around 10.30 pm.

The next day 17/03/2012 the temple which I have to seen is the Thirukkoodal Azhagar Perumal Temple,
What a day I had in that temple, it was Saturday, and the way they opened the Perumal Temple was classical way which they opened in Trichy (Purushothaman Perumal Temple, popularly known as Uttamar Kovil), I was told that this temple will be opened at 5.00 am, so I went around 5.15 am there when they opened the main door, we were around 500 persons who were waiting to open the door, then we went near the azhagar perumal door, 3 Iyer’s started singing the venkatesa suprabratham (the whole song, then the beauty started, then they brought a cow and they started doing pooja for almost 15 to 20 minutes) then they opened the door of perumal (with closing the screen) then they made pooja for perumal with took 15 to 20 minutes with the cows milk which they made pooja. Then around 6.20 am we saw the perumal with a excellent dharasan in which I will not forget these two places where the opening was a one life time seeing where we do not get regularly opportunity.

Balance two temples of Thiru Moghur 18 Kms from Periyar Bus buses are there, and Alagar Kovil 21 kms from Periyar Bus stand bus no.44 goes to this temple, in Madurai I had already seen with my wife last year so I planned by next temple of Cuddalore. Madurai to Cuddalore is around 270 Kilometers.

Eight set of Temples – 3

There are 3 Perumal Temples around Cuddalore

From Madurai started around 10 am and reached Cuddalore bus stand around 4.15 pm, from there I took a auto for Deyva Nayaga Perumal after the dharasan came back to cuddalore bus stand and got bus to Vellore around 8.30 pm and reached on 18/03/2012 at 3.30 am which is around 177 Kilometers.

The other two temples of Thiruchitrakootam (Chidambaram) - Sri Govindaraja Perumal Temple and Thirukkoviloor - Sri Thiruvikrama Perumal Temple I saw with my wife in January.

Ninth set of Temples – 12
Here comes the final set of Perumal Temples, which you should plan according to this list as follows because you can save time and money. Along with this total kilometers which has to traveled also follows and hotels name were you can stay for some references.

Vellore                                 to                            Tirunelveli                             492 Kilometers
Via Trichy (241 Kilometers, Madurai (115 Kilometers)
Tirunelveli                             to                            Nanguneri                            27 Kilometers
Nanguneri                             to                            Nagercoil                              44 Kilometers
Nagercoil                              to                            Marthandam                        28 Kilometers
Marthandam                         to                            Thiruvananthapuram           37 Kilometers

I with my wife started from Vellore new bus stand on 30/06/2012 at 4.00 pm and went to Marthandam next day morning at 6.00 am, as I wanted to use maximum distance of the travel that will be covered in night, and start the perumal temples visit by centering this area. So I booked the SETC bus to Marthandam where we have to see the temple in marthandam (Thiru Vattaaru).
We got a OK room in Marthandam called Star Lodge near bus stand and had bath and kept us luggage in and started. Why I centered Marthandam I have another reason also, I (now) I want to see the perumal temples which is in Tamilnadu is my I First aim, but in further if I want to see the perumal Temples in Kerala means this Temple in Triruvananthapuram is the longest in kerala and just 37 kilometer from Marathandam, and another important reason is that I want my wife to see this excellent temple of
Sri Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple. So we first went to Trivandrum.

Now starts our balance Tamilnadu temple,

Marthandam -  Thiru Vattaaru - Sri Aadhikesava Perumal Temple, what a Temple, ones in my life time or I think he kept me so long, that to FEEL and SEE, OR this is time for Me to see these type of temple or this GOD had kept LOVE and GRACE on me to SEE a SUCH a Wonderful Temple.

Then we came back to room and vacate our room, and process to Nagercoil

For the whole evening for nearly 1 hours we were searching for room and finally got a very excellent one called Hotel CANAAN – phone no.04652-453370, 453371, 453372, 453373. Which was too expensive to my budget, but OK because of my wife. The next day 02/07/2012 early morning around 6.00 am we vacated the room, and took an auto saw the temples of Thiruvanparisaaram (Nagercoil) - Sri Kuralappa Perumal Temple, and then to Nanguneri 2 Tempels of Thiruvaramangai Vaanamaamalai
(Nanguneri) - Sri Thothatrinatha Perumal Temple and Thirukkurungudi - Sri Nindra Nambi Perumal Temple, where there are two more perumal in hill top which we did not see because of this is temple under list of divya desam and in hill top had some history, so we cut the auto meter and paid him around 1300.00 which was too costly.

Then we got a bus to Tirunelveli which was around 45 kilometer from Nanguneri, and reached Tirunelveli around 12.00 noon at the new bus stand which is out side of city, from there we went to the old bus stand which is the centre of Tirunelveli which is around 10 kilometers. Again here too we were roaming of room which was a very busy place, finally we got a OK room called Hotel Arunagiri Phone.2334826, 2334553, 2334554, 2334821, 2334825. We enquired at the reception local transport for visiting 9 Temples (Nava Thirupathi) and they gave us a name called Rajasekhar mobile no.9025791883 and who charged 1500.00 which was 500.00 less than what I enquired with an other guy who is locally staying. So as it was already half a day over, so we asked him to take us the next day, in which that half a day we would spend at Thiruchendur which is only aaru padai vedu of Lord Murgan which we have not seen. So we had lunch, and started around 2.30 pm from the new bus stand to Thiruchendur which is around 75 kilometers from Thirunelveli and reached around 4.00 pm and it was excellent dharasan and spend some time at beach also.
And return back to room around 7.00 pm. And at new bus stand we booked the ticket to vellore for the next day.

The next day 03/07/2012, Rajasekhar came to our hotel at around 7.00 am and started our Nava Thirupathi Temple visit in the following order.

Thiruvaikuntham (Sri Vaikundam) - Sri Vaikundanatha Perumal Temple
Thirukkurugur (Alwar Thirunagiri) - Sri Aadhinatha Swamy Temple
Thirukkoloor - Sri Vaitha Maanitha Perumal Temple
Thirupperai - Sri Magara NedungKuzhai Kaathar Perumal Temple
Thiruttholai Villimangalam (Twin Thirupathis) - Sri Aravindha Lochana Perumal Temple
Thirukkulanthai - Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple
Thiruppulingudu - Sri Kaaichina Vendha Perumal Temple
Thiruvaragunamangai - Sri Vijayaasana Perumal Temple

Of the all above which in bold, we were GRACE to see in the TIME of kumbabeshagam, in which we (I) want see again at least one more time.

Then rajasekhar (started my next aim which I had in my mind of seeing the Sivan Temples in Tamil Nadu), to start with took us to the The Great Nellaiyappar Sivan Temple, with Royal Welcome to this temple, and we purchased Halwa at the Irutu Kadai and back to room. Had some rest at around 3.45 pm we came back to new bus stand and our bus to vellore was late by 1 hour, and finally at 6.00 pm it started and reached vellore at around 7.30 am on 04/07/2012.

Tenth set of Temples – 2

Then on the Same day 04/07/2012 at around 8.30 am I suddenly thought of seeing the two temples in Andhra also. In particular about Ahobilam Temple there are Nine Narasimhar which are as follows

1.                    Yogananda Narasimhar (in Lower Ahobilam, accessible by Road)
2.                    Chatra Vata Narasimhar (in Lower Ahobilam, accessible by Road)
3.                    Bhargava Narasimhar (in Lower Ahobilam, accessible by 15min auto/jeep over   rough terrain, no road)
4.                    Karaancha Narasimhar (on the way to Upper Ahobilam from Lower Ahobilam, accessible by road)
5.                    Ahobila Narasimhar (in Upper Ahobilam, 9 kms from Lower Ahobilam, accessible by road + 50 steps to climb)
6.                    Varaha Narasimhar (15 min trek over rocky terrain from Ahobila Narasimar)
7.                    Malola Narasimhar (15 min climb on steps from Varaha Narasimar)
8.                    Jwala Narasimhar (75 min trek from Varaha over rocky terrain / steps)
9.                    Pavana Narasimhar (2 hour trek from Ahobila Narasimha or 2 hour jeep ride from lower Ahobila over rough terrain)

So, had my breakfast in my home after a week long dharshan visit, again started to see and finish my All Perumal Temples visit, at around 9.45 am on 04/07/2012, went to vellore main bus stand, to see any direct busses to Ahobilam (in internet I saw there were busses from Tirupathi) and asked the Andhra bus depot about how to Reach Ahobilam, should I go to Tirupathi for that.

And the answer for that No, I was asked to go Chittoor, were at around 12.30 pm there was a bus which goes to Hydrebad in which I can go to Allagadda from where Ahobilam is 35 kilometer.

From Vellore to Ahobilam is around 310 kilometers
(via Chittoor, Piler, Cuddapah, Allagadda)

This is how I saw all above Narasimhar, before starting from vellore in internet I got of the address for room and how to reach and the address is Sri Malola Guest House contact person Mr.K Badri Narayanan and his contact no. 08519-252045 and mobile no.9490515284 and booked the room. And from vellore main bus I went to Chittoor and from Chittoor through this Hydrebad bus to Allagadda and from there to Ahobilam. Mr.Badri gave me single room and cost for per day was 300.00 and said that he will arrange a guide (which is a MUST to see the above Temples) in morning and asked to be ready by 7.00 am.

The next day 05/07/2012, I was ready by 5.45 am and came to reception and asked for Mr.Badri where his assistant was here, and told that I need a guide to see all the temples. And a small boy came as my guide who was studying 8th standard and on that day his school was leave, so he guide me.

Check this out, Mr.Badri told the previous day that half day for Upper Ahobilam and hald day for Lower Ahobilam if I am fast enough to walk other wise two days to see all the temples.

I with this small boy started at around 6.05 am from Lower Ahobilam (please see all the temples in this Order so that time will not get wasted) – as follows

1.             Pavana Narasimhar              Reached around 7.59 am and then to
2.             Varaha Narasimhar               Reached around 9.13 am and then to
3.             Jwala Narasimhar                 Reached around 9.42 am and then to
4.             Malola Narasimhar               Reached around 10.09 am and then to
5.             Ahobila Narasimhar             Reached around 10.41 am and then to
6.             Karaancha Narasimhar        Reached around 10.51 am and then to
7.             Bhargava Narasimhar          Reached around 11.24 am and then to
8.             Chatra Vata Narasimhar      Reached around 11.51 am and then to
9.             Yogananda Narasimhar       Reached around 11.55 am and then to Room.

Now I thought Perumal was so KIND enough and LOVABLE and GRACEFUL to make me to see the Divya Desaam I want to see, in Tamil Nadu the last temple in my list in a special manner in saying thanks to Perumal. – was none other Tirupathi, which I want to walk from lower Tirupathi to Tirumalai.

From Ahobilam I came back to Allagadda, and enquired about the bus to Tirupathi, which was around 12.45pm and I got a bus right there itself at 1.00pm and took the bus and reached Tirupathi 7.45 pm.

After my dinner at Mayur opposite to Tirupathi bus stand, I took a share auto to reach Alipiri, from Alipiri I started at 8.45 pm and reached kalai gopuram around 9.49 pm, and took the divya dharasam ticket, and again started walking and reached Tirumalai at 11.11 pm and got stuck in Vaikundam Queue (Room), the next day morning the queue started moving and we where informed that this divya dharasam has a special dharasam between 9.30 am onwards, in which I had a very very excellent dharasan of Perumal. And return back to vellore at around 2.30 pm.

Vinnulaga thirupathi, where all humans cant reach there with the human body, and only our soul (Aathma) can reach there. This Thirupathi cant be viewed through our ordinary eyes. I went on 28/01/2012.

Thiruparkadal is 2.5 km from Kaveripakkam in Chennai-Bangalore Highway Road, 99 km from Chennai, 40 km Vellore and 28 km from Kanchipuram.

108. ThirupParamapadham - Sri Paramapadha Nathan
Location:
This is situated in Chengelpet - Kanchipuram route on the banks of River Palar. It is surrounded by lush greenery. It is a very small temple , but Perumal is varaprasadhi, He is famous for blessings the persons who come surrender to him. To this lot of people owe the life to him, because of his blessings they have rose high in career and they are well off. This Perumal had Thirukala Poojas once upon a time, but now even for one single lamp there is problem leave alone the daily Poojas.

  2. Hi,
Just visited 11 divya desam's near Sirkazhi, Thirunangur.... Wanted to share an experience. Met a guide Subramanian, who helped us in visiting 11 divya desams. All the 11 places are interior villages and with no proper direction boards. Also the temple timing which was sort of erratic. He came with us in our car and showed the temple. His number is 9159706875. His name is Subramanian. Hope it helps.

    Srivatsan.
